Overview
Sales Associate
Audacy in Portland is looking for a Sales Associate. The Sales Associate position is designed to provide the employee with training that will allow them to fully understand the Radio business from a sales perspective. This person will work closely with senior account executives, assisting them with all elements of pre/post sale.
The anticipated starting salary range for Oregon-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $30,000.00/yr-$40,000.00/yr.
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities
What You Will Do:
Participate in weekly training program
Assist Account Executives with pre and post sales tasks, including, but not limited to, category research, creating proposals, attending sales meetings, putting together a to-do list of items that must be completed to either present an opportunity or to implement the details of a client campaign
Attend sales meetings
Providing clerical assistance for the Account Executives
Creating leads for Account Executives
Working with Traffic, Promotions and Programming Departments on Sales related issues
Attending client promotions and internal promotional meetings
Learn tools such as Vcreative, Wide Orbit, Sales Force, XRAY, RAB, etc.
Middle to late stages of the Sales Associate position will consist of shadowing current Account Executives in order to learn the more intricate details of being a successful Account Executive. Duties to include but not limited to:
Brainstorm ideas with sales team
Prepare promotions plans, sales literature, and advertising proposals
Attend sales calls
Assist in the creation of proposals
Work on specific deals and accounts with current Account Executives
Learn quantitative and qualitative research
Participate in Sales promotions
Learn how to maintain and service accounts
Investigate and resolve customer problems
Creating new business accounts
Qualifications

Required & Preferred:
Requires 4-year degree; marketing major preferred
Must be self-motivated, self-disciplined, have a positive attitude and be an effective communicator
Position requires superior computer skills, inclusive of Microsoft Office
Candidates must be interested in pursuing a career in media sales and have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle with appropriate insurance
